Ok so méxico is going great, the flight was long, this past week has been crazy. Normally you get  a native companion to train you down here, i got a huero like me (white man), its a monterrey word. its 80 degrees here (around there i don´t know if thats the translation for 30 C) anyway, my first day I had to go to the consolate to get my mexican papers and turned out that i had to come back the next day to finish it all up. the  first thing we did when we got to our area however (which is named Tacubaya) is start contacting. i`ll try to attatch (sorry about the spelling there is only spanish keyboards here which is hard enough without worrying abut spelling) but my companion said 'we´ll start with that house', and i replied 'what house?' their houses here are more like cement shed/shacks with a nice interior, if you´re lucky. i´ve been in pleanty of homes that sould be condemd but the people are happy none the less. but there are metal bars/gates/guards on everything, i´ll try to post pictures, but idk when. the people live in shacks but leve their homes looking like 1,000,000,000 bucks. its a little strange in my opinion. I can understand whats going on most of the time unless the people slur their words, which happens alot... or if they talk too fast... but he knocked on the first ´door´ and said 'this is all yours' i did just fine, to his suprise haha, the people here tlk just to talk and sometimes its so random and off subject i don´t no what to say so i just sit there and stare at them or i just turn away (only with missionaries or members does this happen) and then they make fun cause they think i don´t understand, they call me huero and start lauging until i say ' entendio perfectamente solo no se como responder a commentrios equis.' i understand perfectly i just don´t know how to respond to such random comments, then the joke is on them which the people can appreciate lol. but our second day were were tracting and hadn´t had any luck we had just had a lesson with an investigator (blanca) across from the street from the house we were in front of and we knocked and the girl that answered the door was in my companion´s words: (translated) 'its not fair when they are that beautiful!' (daniela) she was really pretty, however i could see that she had a child, the culture here is much different than mormon stndards. anyway we gave a contact on modern prophets, revealation and the restored gospel, we asked to teach her more fully expecting to be rejected! suprisingly, she was going to let us in, however she was the only one home, so my companion told her we would come back when there was a man home (he´s a bit awkward) the next day i went on splitz to a different area, it was ok nothing much too exciting happened, but when i got back the next day my companion told me i would not believe what happened. when we walked away from that girl every instinct in my body was screaming we needed to teach her, but we left her with a pamphlet about the restoration, when my companion went to Blanca´s house, guess who was there, yep, daniela, they also had a member with them, yep that girl not only needed to be taught but waanted to be too, she said that night she couldn´t sleep until after she had read the pamphlet! she had even prayed and gotten a testimony of Joseph Smith! she has a baptism date set for the 20th. we have 4 other investigators with dates and 6 more we are going to set dates for tommorrow. i´m excited! we had a family referenced to us on saturday from another missionary who found the father in a park in a different area. they are a family of gold, they want to find a way to be clean of there sins and none of the churches they have tried has worked, hopefully we can get them baptized. :) anyway thats the story for this week :) talk to you in 7.
